A PRODUCTIVE gap year day in the life (ft. Apple Watch)

Good morning Today is Saturday January 9th and welcome to a day in my life.. It's, not even that early, but it's, just a very cloudy gloomy day.. So the first thing I do in the morning is fill up. My water bottle do oil pulling, which means swishing coconut oil, put in my contacts so that I can actually SEEEE and then do some morning stretches.

. Next, I go to the bathroom to wash my face and start a cold shower, and it was at this moment that I realized how ridiculous my hair looks in this ponytail, because normally I don't see myself from the back.

So this was a rude awakening. ... so was the cold shower.. This lighting is fantastic, so I woke up a bit later today than I had planned, so I went to my calendar to adjust my time blocking. Time. Blocking recently has been so helpful to me.

So basically, at the start of this week, I already kind of knew how i would spend each day I had this nice little plan laid out for the entire week., But of course, the point of time blocking is not to be rigid about it like it should Be flexible, it's, just nice to wake up most days and be like yeah.

I have a plan for what i'm gonna do today. I don't have to think about what I should do today, but today my sleep interfered with that. ... also me and my mom have been going to like this Zumba class, but there's only 10 spots for it because of social distancing, and you have to sign up online at a specific time.

The registration opens up and it is almost as difficult as getting BTS tickets *flashbacks*. So we were not able to get spots for today and hopefully soon I look a little bit more awake. For breakfast.

I made my go-to veggie scramble and I also made some matcha.. I finally have an actual matcha whisk, rather than the tiny fork that I'd, been using to stir my matcha previously, so it just tastes, much better quality now and then in the mornings.

I also drink some water, with a tablespoon of apple cider, vinegar, which is gross but supposedly good for you.. Just got ta check off. My habits did my morning, routine apple, cider, vinegar and one bottle of water well almost.

. So I've. Had my Apple Watch for four months now, the main things that I use this for are like activity and health tracking time, tracking habit tracking and then some notifications., The overall effect of it on my life, has definitely been positive.

I use my phone less, so I have a video where I explained all of the benefits in more detail, but in this video we're. Just gonna have a productive chill little day in the life featuring the Apple Watch and I'll.

Show you how I use it., I'm actually wearing nice leggings and a sweater today, because I want to look like I'm, actually making an effort for you.. Normally i wear like sweatpants and t-shirts, but that doesn't cut it for a video.

Not doing that for a couple of months, especially because a lot of people found me through searching for videos about studying Korean, but honestly I was just not really doing well overall towards the end of 2020 and I'm glad.

I took a break. Not only from studying Korean but from a couple of things., So now I actually am excited about it again, because I had my first class with a new tutor on iTalki and that really motivated me.

. So the next thing i'm going to do. Is it's a Saturday and on Saturdays I do my weekly blog tasks., So normally that takes about an hour to an hour and a half. So I'm gonna try to get it done in an hour and then, after that I'm gonna work on editing next week's.

Video.. When I sit I like to have my little ottoman whatever this thing is to put my feet on. Next up, I was editing the video that went up last week, so the tour of my vision, board.. This is a pretty simple video to edit, but it was actually really fun because I got to look through my hard drive for old footage, so I needed footage.

For example, from last year's, trip to Europe and also from both of the BTS concerts that I've gone to, so that was a little depressing to watch to be honest.. Ok, Google. What's, the temperature? The current temperature in Madison is 32 degrees.

. My brain is kind of fried from editing now. So I'm gonna go on a walk, got ta, take advantage of this good weather, while it lasts.. I'm just gonna throw a coat on. I don't need to change. I dressed up today.

This water bottle always ruins the shot it's. So ugly. I'm gonna. Do a meditation now I've, been doing the 10 % happier New Year's challenge I really like it.. I actually have not read the 10 Percent Happier book, but i listened to his podcast.

It's Dan Harris and I just really like the way that he talks about meditation.. He's very, like down to earth and kind of approaches, things from a skeptical point of view, which is nice when it comes to meditation because like when you're starting out, it can .

.., it can seem kind of weird, and So you want someone who also used to think that it was weird to explain to you why it doesn't necessarily have to be weird., So it's day. Six. The theme of today is & quot, laugh at your inner critic.

& quot & quot ..., but something that I think often happens in meditation, is that your mind's all over the place. It & # 39. S like, as I've, said before it's like holding a live fish in your hand, .

.. & quot, So I used to write all of my newsletters, the Monday that they go out. Like literally, I finished writing it and I send it out. During high school every Monday, during my first hour study hall, I'd, be furiously typing out my newsletter to try and send it out on time, but I am trying to get ahead of Schedule a little bit so with my videos.

I'm, trying to get two weeks ahead of schedule so that I finish every video two weeks before it's supposed to be posted and then with my newsletters. I really just want to be writing them a couple of days ahead of time.

I don't want to get too far in advance with those, because I like to do an update on what's going on in my life and with the Bliss Bean, and so it feels kind of weird to be writing them Too far in advance and trying to like write from the perspective of the future.

, But so it's Saturday, and this goes out in two days, and so I think that's. A really nice cushion of time where I'm, not trying to get it done that morning, but I think it & # 39. Ll be really nice to start the next week, having not only that week's newsletter done, but also that week's YouTube video done.

. So I am very on top of things., So just a little behind the scenes for how putting together a newsletter actually works. So I have this newsletter template and then I make a new doc and I write a draft of my article.

The & quot try this now & quot thing for the day and then five recommendations., Usually I already know what the recommendations are going to be because I've, been brainstorming that in my content, calendar already, but so once I edit the draft and Everything's done in here.

I duplicate a past newsletter in ConvertKit format. Everything paste it in preview it.. I can be pretty paranoid about making sure that all of the links and everything are correct. So just look through this a bunch of times and then schedule it.

. I just took a break and went on Twitter for a second and JUNGKOOK. What SKJDLKSFLKASJDKHSJFHLK? What I thought this was an edit .... I love Twitter., Okay. Well now I'm gonna try to get some more work done, but I don't know how that'll, be possible, .

.., Okay. So what I did now was. I recently realized, after way too long that people who subscribe to worksheets on my website are not necessarily added to my weekly newsletter list. So I'm, not going to add them to my weekly newsletter without asking them, but I will send them a very nicely worded email to basically be like hey.

I noticed that you've, been using my free worksheets, but you haven't subscribed to my weekly newsletter ..., who does that? No, it's. Actually a nice email.. I thought this would take a long time, but it literally took me like 10 minutes to put together - and i think I'm - going to send this out Monday morning, because I think that's when people are more responsive to emails.

Not on the weekend but yeah, hopefully this gets some of these people to subscribe to the weekly newsletter, because currently there are 10,000 people whose emails I have but who I am not communicating with on a weekly basis and if you've ever you Know managed a large email list you have to pay based on how many subscribers you have so I'm paying for these people, but not really, you know getting a chance to show them my content every week.

So we're, going to try and fix that. Whoa look at the blue- oooohhh.. I'm, almost done with the video, but my computer decided to start acting up. So I'm gonna restart it, and i'm going to restart my brain.

. I've, been doing a lot of Just Dance for exercise, so that's. What I'm, going to go, do now, probably just like half an hour and then i'll, see if I can get the video done after that., Let's dance! . It started with watching the movie and then it went into every topic, which is like the best kind of conversation to have.. The video was exported, so all I had to do was edit the accompanying photos, design the thumbnail, the graphics write, the description, yada yada yada.

. So I had to re-export the entire video because there was a tiny, tiny section of it where a little clip was out of place, and I had not noticed so because I had to re-export it. I had to re-upload it, so it is still currently uploading.

It has not processed yet so I can't really finish up doing the end screen and the cards and stuff like that., But I did do the description. I did the thumbnail and the tags and I'm just gonna leave. It at that for today.

, I should really be getting to bed.. I'm trying to get ahead of schedule this year, so I am doing very well on that.. This is not for YouTube. If you're wondering what that is, it's, a freelance project.

, You don't need to worry about it.. After all that was done. I finally started my bedtime routine.. So the first thing I do is a bunch of little admin tasks like updating the journal on my phone updating mood, tracking checking my budget, etc, etc.
